The winning competition entry was submitted by Carrie, from team Scrambled Legs.

Tinker's wood near my home.  My favourite 'grumpy tree' always makes me smile when I walk passed him!  I always aim to walk that distance because whatever my mood, I cannot help but smile at how grumpy he looks!

Fran, from team Homeless Warriors, shared her favourite spot for a short stroll.

Edinburgh Botanic Gardens.  If you need a bit of a slower pace occasionally, this is perfect.  You can walk at a good pace then slow down and stroll through the sensory gardens where you can feel uplifted with the beauty and smells you encounter there.  There's also a lovely café to have a hot drink too, a lovely end to your walk!

Jennifer, from team Sole Sisters, shared her favourite place for a peaceful walk in the middle of bustling Edinburgh.

My favourite place is along the Water of Leith walkway. Despite the path running right through busy Edinburgh, you feel like you have been transported to a place of tranquillity. Surrounded by beautiful trees, crisp brown leaves blanketing the area and calming sounds of water, it is the perfect place for an autumnal stroll!

Marion, from team Who Let the Stag Out, has been enjoying walking around her local neighbourhood.

I am enjoying walking my estate as we have some beautiful spaces which means I can walk without taking the car or taking too long away from work.

Jenny, from team Strathy Stragglers, has been taking the opportunity to enjoy a walk to work.

My favourite place for an autumnal stroll is through my local park because I love seeing all of the autumnal colours! I also really enjoy my walk to work in the morning when it is a crisp and clear autumn day.
